I learned two things while doing this……. first, I learned that I watched a lot of stuff as a kid that I don’t entirely like admitting to as an adult, like Gilligan’s Island and The Bionic Woman. Eeek. Second, I learned that in adulthood, I let a lot of shows go by without even noticing. There were a lot of shows on this list that I’d never heard of.

Who has the time and inclination to watch all of it? Eeek once again.

  1. Wow … I haven’t even heard of more than half of these shows. That must either mean I am very selective, or very out of touch.

    Ook ook

  2. I like this one…I’m afraid to participate, though. (couch potato life!)

  3. Who has the time and inclination

… even to create such a long list? Judging by the bolds, we’re not so far from the same age. Or, wait. Where’s “Leave it to Beaver”?

I also want to say thank you for the entertainment you’ve helped inspire at the blogs of Mark and the Law Wench, where their whining and mewling and generally acting like punks have shifted from kind of funny to increasingly pathetic.

  4. Hey, I live to serve. 😉

I’m guessing that the list started smaller, and people added to it as it got passed along. I know Eden added a few. I tried, but WordPress doesn’t like letting me format hings the way I want to, so I didn’t. Now that I’m cyber-active at home, I think I’ll start working on the move back to the old digs.

I’d have to bold “Leave it to Beaver” as well! And also “Rawhide”, “The Rifleman” and “The Virginian”, which I wish would come back because I’d like to see more of it. I’m 41, and I dig the classics, both in movies and TV.

  5. Now why in God’s name would you be embarrassed about watching Gillgan’s Island and The Bionic Woman? Tina Louise, Dawn Wells and Lindsey Wagner? Now that’s a fantasy threesome!

  6. Jeez, I haven’t heard of most of these! I am so not a TV person. Except for IDOJ, of course!!!

  7. O’Tim…. yes, but they were pretty low-brow shows despite that.

I have to wonder…… when Lindsey Wagner got those bionic legs, did she get a bionic cooch as well? That could bring a whole new meaning to the term “snapper”.

  8. A bionic cooch! Remember how she made that funky sound effect every time she used her bionic parts? So, what sound would a bionic coochie make?

  9. If I knew, DD, I’m sure I couldn’t spell it!

  10. Hooray! A trekkie! And a python! That explains a lot… (that’s a compliment, by the way).

  11. That’s the only way I would have taken it, Cheezy.

  12. If I have the time I’ll give this one a go! But does that mean I have to admit to watching Dallas? :0(

  13. If you did so, yes, but there’s no requirement to add “Prisoner, Cell Block H”.

  14. The only 2 I can say for sure is the Sopranos and Lost. I know I’ve seen a whole lot of that last…but every episode? Probably not.

  15. Dude. you haven’t seen three or more episodes of MacGuyver? liar! everyone has! 🙂
